Fat chicks.

LA is getting hotter and hotter, even though summer officially ends mid September, it just wont let up. Not that I'm complaining, it's lovely waling around in 34 degree heat all day!!

Class is going great. I'm loving it all, the class sizes, the teachers, everything. It feels so much easier to learn here, as to why I'm not sure, I just feel more... at home here. Sad to say I know, but I do. I think I'm falling in love with LA. Odd, as most people do the complete opposite, but that's is what's happening. The drivers here don't want to kill me as I cross the road, the people are the most giving people I've ever met - everyone is normally happy to help no matter what, and they do it loudly so you can hear them, not mumbling under their breath as if they are ashamed of themselves. This is merely an observational comparison, not a dig at the general public in NZ.

It's nice to work with people who are more than happy to tell you that you are doing wrong, or your performance was bad and that you need to add some more of x into it to improve it. Not that it has to me, yet, but it has happened to others in the class and I actually look forward to when it happens to me. We learn the most in the mistakes we make, so hopefully I make a lot of mistakes in the next few weeks. But also hopefully not lots of the same ones.

Food here is interesting. If you go to the right places it's cheap and good food (supermarkets etc). If you go to the wrong places it's even cheaper food, with about 600000 extra calories. I think I'm now becoming to understand why there are so many fat chicks here. There are quite a few beautiful ones too, probably a lot more actually, but the ratio of fat to skinny here, even in LA, must be higher than anywhere else in the world. Fatty food is so cheap and quick, it must be easy to fall into a routine of eating at these places and then all of a sudden waking up fat. Like a hangover, but more permanent.

I'm off to grab a $1 burger from In'N'Out Burgers, catch you next time!
